From September, Havering College is running a 16-week Saturday Engineering Club, which will be open to all pupils from local schools in years 10 and 11. It is giving students the opportunity to come to their engineering workshop at the Quarles Campus, where they can try a variety of engineering activities and make products to take home. These products and the skills can be used to impress prospective employers if students wish to embark on a career in engineering. It is also a great way to help with GCSE and STEM studies.
Students will rotate around five different areas:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Motor Vehicle
• Welding and Fabrication
• Games Development
The fee for the course, which will cover the materials used, is £75. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so register your interest as soon as possible by calling the college on 01708 462893 or emailing email@example.com.
