Our Under 13 boys played in their first ever rugby match yesterday (and we believe the first school rugby match for many years), against an experienced St Edward’s team.
They drew 40-40 in an extremely exciting game, which flowed back and forth from start to finish. Both sets of players were exceptional in their attitude and application to the game.
There were many big hits and some cracking tries were scored. All Bower team members were magnificent, but the stand out players were Lyndon Mukandavine, who scored 4 tries, Travis Boxall-Key, who controlled the game as fly half, and Sonny Johnson, who scored 3 tries.
Congratulations to all the boys who played and a big thank you to the P.E. department for all their hard work preparing the students for this match.
