On Tuesday, 7th May, our Under 14 girls played against Frances Bardsley Academy in the Havering borough cup final at Aveley Football Club.
It was a very entertaining game, with Bower Park dominating for large portions. Bower was by far the better team in the first half, but didn’t created many clear-cut chances and didn’t make its dominance count.
The second half was a more even affair, but our girls started to tire towards the end of the match. Frances Bardsley scored with just nine minutes remaining and then scored again to win 2-0. Some of our key players had won at a handball competition earlier in the day and struggled in the heat.
This was another great achievement for this group of students, along with their victory in the league and 7-a-side championship.
Thanks to Mrs Stubbington, Mr Lavender and Mr Erisen for running the team and to all the supporters who came along to give their support.
