On Thursday, 13th December, Bower Park held the 2018 final for Enterprise Day, when teams were required to design and market a board game. The winning teams from each House went head-to-head to decide the overall winners for the Academy. The teams presented to Mrs Brand (Principal’s PA) and me, and they were scored out of 100 on the quality of their ideas, teamwork, presentation skills, marketing, packaging and prototype. The quality of all these was incredibly high. We were amazed at the confidence shown, the clarity of their ideas and how well they presented. They really did show that the LORIC attributes of leadership, organisation, resilience, initiative and communication were of the highest quality. All the winning teams have already won a trip to Escape HQ in Brentwood. However, today was about finding the overall winners for Bower Park Academy. The points from this competition will feed into the overall House competition for 2018/19.
After much deliberation and consideration, we agreed that the winning team was King (K8 – Miss Savage):
|Sophie Regan Hart|
Three of these were also in the winning team last year!
The runners up were Edison (E9 – Mr Nadesan), with Moore (M8 – Mr Punungwe) and Rowling (R6 – Mrs Dawe) in joint 3rd place. House points will be awarded accordingly.
Congratulations to all the teams presenting in the final. You were all winners in your own right on Enterprise Day.
Thank you to Mrs Brand for helping with the judging.
