On Tuesday, 2nd April, our Under 15 girls’ handball team became London champions. They were in extremely fine form, winning every game and beating Chadwell Heath 8-2 in the final – a team which has beaten us three times in the past.
The Under 13 girls were also very successful as they battled their way to the final. Unfortunately, Gracie Hickman picked up an injury and wasn’t able to start the final. We went 2-0 down but pulled it back to 2-2. The match went to extra time, where we eventually lost 3-2.
So the Under 15 girls are London champions and go on to the national finals, and the Under 13 girls were London runners up. Not bad going, especially as we were the only school to have two teams in the competition! Congratulations to all the girls who played – we are very proud of you, and a huge thank you to Mr Baker and the PE team for all their hard work.
