About Bower Park

About Us

We place teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do.

We are proud of what goes on in our classrooms. Staff genuinely care about students’ learning, and the passion, enthusiasm and energy which staff and students generate can be felt when entering classrooms.

We have a shared, open culture at our school, where staff observe each other and provide quality feedback as part of the process. We believe that it is an entitlement to constantly strive to develop our teaching. National consultants work with us in our classrooms to enable us to continue to develop our practice. Satisfactory is not good enough for us. We all strive to be the best we can be. We are proud of our excellent classroom teaching.

Our ethos is firmly centred on achievement and the celebration of success. We know our students. We are committed to developing the talent of each and every student through an education which inspires them to strive for high achievement in every aspect of their lives. We are committed to excellence in all areas and we value achievements of all kinds. We aim to provide a stimulating education, which challenges our students academically and helps them to develop into responsible and caring citizens. It is our aspiration to foster in every student a passion for learning which they will carry through life. We are ambitious for our students and encourage them to be ambitious for themselves. We expect our students to take responsibility for their own learning.

Students, staff and governors are united in their commitment to continue to build a school of which we are proud.
